Dude, make sure you have repairmen inspecting rides before they break. That's lost revenue and easily covers the extra labor.

Other than that, your park is kinda ugly.

There's a pretty good general on /vr/ that plays multiplayer pretty often (it's not on /vg/, so it's surprisingly tolerable for a general).

Multiplayer has some serious issues with de-syncing that aren't going to be an easy fix, but it's still pretty fun.

It's pretty much the same, the sequel mostly has some extra decoration features.
>>
>>383289890
why not both?
>>
>>383289772
1 has much better scenarios and is actually better in a whole bunch of tiny, mostly inconsequential ways, but 2 added some huge shit like support for custom scenarios so it pretty much wins by default.

The best is OpenRCT2, which tries to combine the best of both worlds and can have all the scenarios from both games.

It's not about him, it's about you. It's not an exuse to punch him, he wants you to stand up for yourself. He sees you as a pussy and he wants to make you assert yourself and be a man. He's going to be glad that you saw a problem, someone picking on you, and you solved it by being a man and not taking shit. It'll work. Trust me.

I guarantee you if a father is picking on his son like that, and he's not on some kind of narcotic or an alcoholic, he just sees you as a pussy. He doesn't respect you because he doesn't think you respect yourself. I'm a psychologist. This is typical. He wants you to stand your ground and assert yourself. One physical smack to the face next time he talks shit will clear the whole thing up.

When I was going through NEETdom I volunteered in a charity shop, it is something to talk about in interviews when you get that far, team skills, adapting etc.

Plus if your working in the retail bit you d have to talk and face a lot of new people which may help, and this may sound mean but because charity shops is literal volunteers they can't pick who they get, so it sounds like a mean thing to say but I guarantee you there'll be people there that make you feel better about yourself.

Thing is he doesn't do it all the time, he often is fairly decent.

He gets mad when I get mad at him when he makes stupid jokes about me. He makes comments about me making dumb "masks" (generally me making annoyed faces, dunno, maybe he is right)

He seems to not get that I slam the door because he pissed me off so he berates me for slamming the fucking door.

He argues with my mother over stupid shit like kids. For example apparently he was ashamed when he brought her to company party because women working there turned out to come without husbands.

Sometimes I think that my family is just a bunch of loonies (I suspect ADHD on myself and that shit is mostly genetic). Only my oldest brother turned out fine, he married well and moved out.

>Anon gets mad and storms and slams the door
>Anon's dad makes fun of him for not being able to handle the bantz
Maybe I'm misinterpreting it but I@m pretty sure that if this is the case then punching him will be an overreaction than showing you can take gentle mocking
>>
>>383302378
He wants the mocking to stop. This will stop the mocking. His father will stop seeing him as a child and start seeing him as a man.
>>
>>383302378

>>

You sound like a typical kid, grow up and give him some banter back, you'll soon reach a common ground where you can take the piss out of each other and get along. You'll probably connect with your father and look back at this and laugh, and laugh at the fact that by you reacting like a loser proves his point of you being a loser.
And don't hit him for god's sake, he's your dad. He is you, you are him.

His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,

Planet Coaster works the same as RCT in terms of the game conditions. You start with a partially built park and have to satisfy conditions to complete the scenario.

I assume at some point in development it only had a sandbox mode. Are you just sperging out from what it was back then?

yes and yes

There's a setting for coaster building where it automatically tunnels through ground around your track. And you have much more freedom in the way you design coasters because of the spline based track building system.

I learned a few tricks from trying the hardest mode for a while. One way you can save loads of money is to not pay your employees. They'll quit at the end of the month or whatever but you can just keep rehiring them by closing and reopening shops.

And watch out for rides losing popularity over time. Eventually rides get old and start losing money. I think they have a system for refurbishing them now though. If you keep the ride around for long enough it becomes classic and gets a big popularity boost.

>>383312314

It's actually really cool even in it's limited current state. Aside from the basics of fixing rides, clean up, ect you also have to regulalry supply shops. Think of it like Disney Land how they have an entire underground network so employees and supplies can move around without anyone knowing. A big part of the game is going to be that and guests will get angry if they see your guys moving giant boxes of goods around.

>>383314425

It play very much like it and they admit it too. The coaster creator is much better though. give me a minute, I should have an old launcher I share here on mega in a bit for you guys to try out.

Most pre-built coasters in scenarios need block brakes added if you want to make sure that never happens.

Coasters will never crash if you build them to enter the station at 29mph or lower. Obviously this can't be done easily at times, and in the cases of that one scenario with Woodpecker, impossible to edit.

Planet Coaster has worse park management mechanics, level layout and design, challenges and progression. It's nice if you just want to dick around building pretty things in a sandbox mode, but if you want to play a goal oriented game with actual focus on the sim aspect RCT is miles ahead.
Also the fact that you don't have a scenario editor is ridiculous. You could at some point save sandbox maps as challenge maps but they patched that out half a year ago and haven't even given us that.

hey anyone remember that ride where some dude climbed over the fence and ran under it to get his hat back? and it was some open seat ride thing so your feet hung below it and some lady ended up kicking him so hard in the head it fucking killed him and broke her leg?

i still laugh every time i imagine her being thrown around at high gs with a broken leg flopping around like a noodle, the broken bones turning the flesh around it into a pin cushion. all the people around her probably thinking "god the rides not THAT scary calm down!"

Actually, the game is so self-dependent that the free demo versions of the game that you could get out of cereal boxes back in the early 2000s contain the entire game. OpenRCT2 can use the cereal box data as the full game.
just pirate it, nobody involved in its creation gets money from it any more

I would add some more attractions, your queues are filled to the max. I would also add some connecting roads.

i hope there's no access to the unused foot paths around the park.
that ferris wheel should eventually go on land. the lake is best used for coasters.
turn off everything but thrill ride and coaster research and dump maximum funding into them.
spread out your concession stands. leave drinks and ice cream next to intense rides, like that swinging ship, because nauseated guests use them to settle down. put the ice cream stand somewhere else or consider closing it.

and audit your ride popularity to reconsider the queue lines. your scrambled eggs looks unpopular, you may be charging too much. your maze queue is full for a gentle ride, you might not be charging enough or you haven't increased the maximum capacity allowed inside. you could probably build a second swinging ship on the other side of the park. merry go rounds always go unpopular quick because they fucking suck.

needs way more benches too. on a footpath in any park i'll do this around the entire park: lamp post, space, bench, space, garbage, space, bench, space, etc. after you unlock jumping fountains put those fucking everywhere. bitches love jumping fountains.

>rides become old and people won't even ride them for free
>demolish it and build a new copy
>nothing changes

I get that this is supposed to stop you cheating the system, but the system shouldn't exist in the first place. I wanna build a big park, not have to keep going back to old rides and building completely different ones in their place.
>>
>>383284808
I'm up for it, but not relying on my Aussie internet to host.
>>
>>383333593
First of all, a peep will ride an old shitty ride if it's free, so fuck you for lying. Second of all, you can just build the same ride over the old ride. Demolish it completely by clicking the trash can, then rebuild it. Demolishing it by shutting down the ride, going into construction mode, and repositioning the ride doesn't count because it keeps all the statistics tied to the ride (like total customers, profit earned, etc.)
>>
>>383334897
Don't know what version you're playing but in the original RCT1 + expansions not a single peep will ride an old ride, even for free. Why would I lie about that? And again you can't just demolish and build the same ride over it, they still don't enter the queue.

It's clearly intentional.

I enjoy the game, but the lack of a universal grid or placeholder fucking ticks me off. It makes building and placing objects a fucking tedious especially around vendors and rides. The only grid that I know of is when you're making one building blueprint.

Pic related, took 30 minutes to make because I had problems with placing stuff.

I just went to cedar point in ohio after never having ridden anything more exciting than the california screaming at disneyland and rode every single coaster there. During that initial climb you feel so much fear and regret but the moment you pass over the first hill and you're moving and grooving its pure fun. Once I realized that around the third or fourth coaster I stopped being as scared during the ascent because I knew I was going to have a good time. Its really a ton of fun, you should try and conquer your fear!!

pic related I blacked out for a couple seconds after that firest 300 foot drop, but it fucking ruled.
