So why doesn't the railroad decide to use the institute as a secret base? I mean, they're a small underground organisation right? Why wouldn't you want to have access to teleportation to make your ops much easier, instead of going back and forth from a fucking catacombs? Because "muh symbolism?" Because the institute infiltrates every group above ground, they have to be secretive or else the Illuminati-style Institute will destroy them from within. The reason why Boston is like the way it is, what with the super mutants and such, is because the institute intentionally fucked the region up. That's what I think, anyways.

Or, I think the Institute isn't very united, I think there are factions within the institute that do want to replace humans with Synths, its why they are so human-like. Then I played new vegas, initially on console which was a miserable experience because load times got unbearable, but still loved it

Fast forward a few years I have a decent computer, excited to hear about a mod which combined 3 and new vegas? My dreams come true! But when you put the games right next to each other it only highlights the flaws of 3, and there are a lot of them.

It honestly changed my view of 3 forever, at this point it's not even a matter of whether or not fallout 3 is a good fallout or not, it whether or not fallout 3 is even a good game.

I think the biggest problem with FO4 is an all-around lack of internal consistency.

The slightest detail can drastically change your view of the story, setting, the characters and their motivations. The quest writers attempted in vain to use this to their advantage to shape a "unique" experience based on player alignment, but never stick to the same explanation for answering the important questions: How "human" are the synths? Does the Institute really care about the betterment of mankind? Are the Railroad really justified in their views? Do Ghouls need food/water/whatever?

Too many holes. Honestly you know something is wrong when you need mental gymnastics to patch this shit together.

I just wish there was a tutorial mode in the game.
The beginning of New Vegas was tedious, but at least it set up the world a little.

I liked when Sunny taught me how to shoot and cook.
I enjoyed that a lot.

I don't mind coming out of the vault, going to Sanctuary, going to Concord, but you're thrown straight into a battle with hostiles. And if you're playing as the girl, unless you're roleplaying as someone who learned to shoot from her husband, I don't see how she is able to fight like that.
