I have Odin sphere, God eater and Ys but have'nt gotten around to playing god eater yet, and thats a monster hunter type game. I would say that Odin sphere is my favorite of them but be prepared to refight bosses since its a vanillaware game.

Odin Sphere is great fun if you like old school sidescrollers it looks and sounds great too.
GE is weeb garbage but if you want some fast paced 3D action game it might scratch that itch, besides, there's a lot of content in those games so they might keep you busy for a long time.
Disgaea is all the same braindead grindy shit so whatever you choose it doesn't matter, just look at which cast feels better and get the one you like more.
Don't really like nu-Ys so I can't honestly give you an opinion on Celceta.

I'm about 10 hours into Celceta on ___hard and It's fun. It's a lot longer than every other Ys game though, even though I'm 10 hours in I'm not even halfway through the game or gotten all the part members with about half the forest mapped.

i Enjoyed Soul Sacrifice Delta on my own but thats the one that is the most different from Monster Hunter, most of them you can get AI help, however how good that ai is is another question.

You mean God Eater and Toukiden? Because all the other games called MH clones have nothing to do with MH, Freedom Wars is a multiplayer arena TPS with an unfinished story mode which works like a Lost Planet ripoff and Soul Sacrifice is an RPG/Arena Brawler hybrid, Ragnarok Odyssey is a literal ARPG with levels, damage numbers and whatnot.

Can't say most of these games are worth it if you don't have friends to play with, especially Soul Sacrifice Delta since coop is actually a thing full of fun mechanics like spell combos, sacrifices and so on, it's still a great game that you can clear solo and is also pretty deep mechanically with a surprisingly great story, but having fun with buddies and randoms is definitely what keeps the game going after you clear all of the content, though to be honest, if you enjoy soloing MH then you can enjoy soloing SS.

It's bretty gud anon, if only the Vita didn't have access to all those great PS SHMUPs or the PSP's SHMUPs I'd say that's the best SHMUP on the system hands down.
Still, there's also stuff like Resogun, the new Soldner X and a few other nice little indies like Downwell, the Vita is a SHMUP goldmine even without counting emulation.

What's so good about it? I can see it's a shmup, but I've only played vertical bullet hell ones and this does not appear to be either of those so it's different from what I know I like.
Also: if I were to get it and install it I would only have 6mb left on my card after the game and the 10,000kb the store page mentions, do I need to worry about things needing more space or am I fine if I'm not installing anything new?

All of the PS SHMUPs are on JP PSN, so ZanacXZanac, Rayforce/Crysis, Raiden games, G Darius, Gaiaseed, Donpachi, Dodonpachi, Cotton games, Cho Aniki, Harmful Park, Dezaemon, Dezaemon KIDS and tons of other games, I think the JP PSN has 90% of all the PS SHMUPs
PSP Gradius Collection( Gradius1-2-3-4-Gaiden) and the other various PSP SHMUPs ports/collections like Salamander Portable and PSP original SHMUPs like the Soldier games or Sengoku Ace games.
PCE Soldier Blade games and a few other PCE SHMUPS like Salamander and the PCE versions of Gradius are on the JP PSN
Obviously the Vita SHMUPs like Soldner X2 or Resogun.

Depending on what you want from it, it can be a pretty good game. The gameplay in it can get really fucking repetitive.

I haven't played 4, but I'd say 3 is average. In the end it becomes more about grinding like most disgaea games anyway. The story is short, which becomes pretty obvious once you can one-shot everything. It's goofy, and light-hearted, but I don't really remember most of it.

Out of all I'd say Odin Sphere, but again it depends on what you're looking for.
