I've barely been paying attention and I can name two ridiculous tricks without even trying:

Honestly, and no-one ever agrees with me on this, but I fucking LOVED 7 when it first came out. I didn't have a PSX, so I only got to play it when I visited a friend's house, a few of my friends had it, so I probably beat half of Act 1 at least 4x over 2-3 years or so. (Obviously I'd never save, since I was only playing for a few hours or an evening).

Finally got to play it myself years later, and... Honestly, it drops off a fucking cliff after you leave Midgar.

The first part is amazing, it's nothing like any of the other FF games I'd emulated, it was futuristic and cool, mixing guns with swords and all that good stuff. Then you step outside and it's just, it's practically the same as any other one. It's a fantasy world, with a twist, gone is the dark city and neon lights, it's all green fields and trees, there's your chocobo's, there's your AirShip, there's everything you've seen already in all the FF's you've played till now.

Still great, but a let down all the same.
