Witcher 3 is a very pretty game.

I dunno if it's the best just because I simply haven't checked out there, but Witcher 3 is absolutely a very pretty game.

Witcher combat is plenty fun unless you play on babby difficulty.
There are 2 or 3 enemies in the games who have retarded hitboxes on their attacks, but mostly because the encounters with them aren't designed for you to charge in and mash attack.

Playing the Witcher on the difficulty that requires use of all mechanics (aka, hard or above which should really be normal because normal is far too easy) then TW3 becomes much less about just mashing attack and more about using oils, potions, signs and bombs together to overcome individual monsters.

Sure, for wolves and bandits its just dodges and attacks but for monsters-the front and centre-it's quite deep.

I've never played The Witcher, but I have played Ubisoft games. They're all the same fucking shit. It's not great in W3, but when you're actually playing individual points of failure/success aren't as important as the overall impression, and as far as I'm concerned it's the most enjoyable and beautiful open world environment to just run around in.
