i loved 2, shame most of the game is just copy paste levels with different colors. never got the hate for it especially when it started the back tracking and free exploration that people love about these games. i thought 1 and 3 were way more hard.

There's an item in the game called Magnet Beam that creates platforms for you to walk on, and it is obtained from Elec Man's stage. However, you need Guts Man's weapon to actually get to that item (without utilizing glitches, anyway).
It's the only case where a classic Mega Man title asks you to revisit a stage if you didn't pick up something the first time.
