I don't really like the level scaling.

Great mechanics and exploration but shit on almost every other front. The artstyle and atmosphere of the game is complete shit with sprites that look like walking potatoes and extremely basic backgrounds. The music is bland and forgettable, not one stand out track in the entire ost. All the characters are generic moeblobs that I could give less of a fuck about. The map seems open but you have to play through a prologue to get anywhere and even then the characters hold your hand all the time. The story is so bad that you're better off just skipping all of it because it is just pure cringe. The bosses are by far the worst part. The bullet hell gameplay just doesn't work with a 2D platformer. On top of that, every single one is a health sponge that take forever to kill with minimal threat to the player because of all the ways you can break the game. The biggest of which is equiipping the green badge and ising the green shot for complete invincibility. Rabi Ribi is a monument to bad design and I don't know how /v/ can defend it.

I pirated the game at first but I feel pretty bad for doing so now because I actually like the game a lot. Exploring was fun and bosses were a good challenge, although not as hard as people made them out to be. The story was pretty bland but you can just skip over it. Also the music is really good.
