I spend an autistic amount of time coming up with names. I either look at all the names of characters in the game/series that are the same race/class I'll be playing and pick something fitting from there, or I'll look at the closest real world culture to the race I'm playing, think of a few words that define the character that I'll be playing (usually basic descriptors of the class), and then run them through google translate until I get something that can be morphed into a natural sounding name.
