Spyro. One is a comfy game with great music, like-able characters and freedom of movement, the other is a shitty 2.5D platformer starring a literal retard with some of the worst levels the early PS2 had to offer. I'd rather chase a thousand egg-snatching cunts while they laughed heartily at me instead of run towards the camera and dodge shit while a big fucking boulder rolled after me.
People only give a shit about Crash because they want more Coco rule 34.

Hmm, I own original copies of 2/3 of both these games, my nostalgia only goes so far with Spyro, with its clunky ass controls, corny characters and cheesy dialog, I still haven't bought myself to replay the third game after 3 years since replaying the second game. It just isn't fun anymore.

Meanwhile I've replayed Crash multiple times over, and again now with the remakes.

They're different games though, I would compare Crash with Ratchet & Clank.

I like the more open levels of Spyro and the fact that there is a story with good characters. Crash has a minimal narrative.

Spyro is a zen collectathon with progressively more annoying gimmick stages as the trilogy goes on.
Crash is an intense precision-jump platformer with progressively more annoying gimmick stages as the trilogy goes on.
They each did their own thing right, but degenerated over time.

Hi.

Crash was unadulterated shit and has always been shit--nothing redeeming about it's awful, imprecise 2.5D hallway "platforming." The remaster just polished up a bunch of turds.It only popular because PS1-only kids were starving for a platformer to compete with SM64 and they heavily marketed him as the mascot.

Spyro was good. Certainly nothing I've ever really felt the itch to play after beating it, but its presentation has held up surprisingly well-- looks much better than other PS1 games despite being pretty plain.

No need to be triggered by the superior 3d platformer. All plebian crash games equate to jumping across squares and breaking boxes(zzz.. couldn't they think of more creative objects to put in a game?) whereas Banjo Kazooie has actual gameplay and level design in full 3D environments for the sophisticated Nintendoelites to explore. Spyro has that too but the graphics(and gameplay) are way better in Banjo.
