MH is one of those things you just "get".
You play it for a while and eventually it just clicks.

Also MH clones are not representative of MH at all. Playing God Eater to get why people like MH is about the same as watching a mockbuster to get why people like a popular movie.

it is a boss rush and an action game. Post gen 2 babies will call it an action RPG but it is a pure action game that ripped off elements from PSO1 but eventually became it's own thing. Oh and anyone who uses "Souls" and "MonHan" in the same sentence should be ignored entirely
