Someone once told me that the game revolves around politics and social commentary so I really shouldn't complain. I think the world of Horizon tries too hard to be the reverse of our world circa. 1950's. And most of the time the writing comes off just awkward.

gathering resources in that game was the thing that killed the pace for me, the rest was fine. I never exactly had an issue gathering funding resources or running out, but I dreaded having every now and then having to take time to gather stuff when the numbers of resources started to get low, it was fun for the first 10 hours but gathering shit after that just because tedious, not to mention resource management in those menus where annoying.

I haven't played this game since I beat it two weeks after it came out so I don't know what they've changed other than the addition of new game plus.

I like it, yeah, I like it a lot. Great lush world that feels alive and populated, easy to jump into, absolutely gorgeous, the slaying of robots never gets old for me. Granted, it doesn't add much to the genre and if you've played Far Cry you've probably played this on some level, though not nearly as polished, but still, I'd recommend it entirely.

DLC just added an ultra hard mode and there's DLC coming with a map that's slightly smaller than the map of the entire base game's, along with new machines and weapons, so there's that to look forward.
