VA or IPS?
TN need not apply.
IPS is out
VA is the new thing

But what about that 50ms recovery from pure-black?
Even on high-tier displays it's still there.

the new top line monitors will ditch IPS for VA
then OLED will introduced and proceed to curb stomp all other panels

Only thing that's new are better responses & less ghosting.

OLED has significant issues with burn-in which can't be fixed very easily, and burn-in is a real problem for computer monitors (unlike TVs) due to all the static GUIs.
They'd have to come up with a wonder-solution for that before they become popular.
And that display is yet to be released no? What's currently on the market still has the sluggish black response times.
So does /v/ really not have much opinion about their gaming monitors?
/g/ is filled with hecklers.

My 2nd monitor is VA. It's a 5:4 monitor from 2005.
