I actually like iron golem. He was a simple boss but he did most things good boss should. He served a purpose lore wise, he wasn't ball bustingly hard or pinwheel easy, he had a gimmick to beating him that made him a bit more memorable and the glitches were just a bonus.
not every boss has to be the next artorias or pontiff.

Not defending bad hitboxes but you should pretty much never be sidedashing in Bloodborne, or backdashing. Forward dash is OP. Just forward dash behind pretty much every single enemy and you've nullified 90% of the game's difficulty.
