Started a bit over a month ago. Got 105 subs. Thats amazing growth from what I understand.

People compare me to old AVGN + Jontron (I never watched Jontron so I don't know)

I don't do lets plays. I put out a video every Sunday.

I like doing this. I do. It really helps me get my mind off stuff, but lately our view numbers have been slipping and I can't think of anything to fix that. I feel like after doing this stuff for a year+ we should probably have more than 120 or so subscribers and like 20 views per video in the first week. But maybe I'm just being greedy? I'ld really like to find a way to put myself out there more and get more attention for this kind of stuff, but it's super hard.

Trying to make GMVs/montages, but I apparently suck at editing. Shilled one of my vids on a certain game's subreddit and got a couple of hundred views with 2/3 thumbs down. People who are way better than me have less than 5k subs. It might be too late to get a YT channel going.

I actually have once since last year. 50k followers and growing. Gotta say though that at the beginning, the whole fucking thing was a chore though. Initially, you just need a good idea for what separates you from the others out there, which I did. As a person who loves sports though, the whole thing can be very tedious at times since you really need to keep the videos coming and if you don't, your "fans" are whining like little babies.

Love the community though, that's one of the major reasons I actually do it. Since february, there's even a decent (in my opinion) cashflow so that's cool too.

My advice?
1. Go in expecting literally nothing
2. If you want to be successful, you have to give up a lot of your freetime (which shouldn't actually be said but some people are still too retarded to get this)

Thank you for your nice words and your suggestion.
We might consider that, actually. I've always been of the opinion that webcams are fucking cancer, though. Not a lot of people like to see them in videos and I sort of lean more toward that opinion. If I see a webcam I almost always close a video, but I get that it's probably a pretty rare reaction. I'm also gonna point out that we had to take like an 5 month hiatus due to tech issues a little while back, and I worry that it really did a number on the interest in our channel.
