As much as I'd like that, it seems very improbable. Remember, the backers still haven't acces to the alpha version, not to mention the beta. (Unless the Marble Nest was the alpha they promised ?). I'd say early 2018 for the final release.

Literlly did Daddy "the jew can come too" Vlad's quest of the day an hour ago to aquisition the Theatre and Cathedral, never felt I had any reason to visit either before now.

The game tells you every day that there's a new performance at the theatre.

Ah shit, yeah I know where the theatre is, I always loot the trash cans there en route to the lump or Subarov.

I just never thought there was an actual mime performance at the theatre, I mean i'm giving needles to little boys to aquire morphine and Georgiy can't even look at me without preaching his "muh dialectical conflicts but now with a dose of literal continued airborne LSD". Not to mention the lady aristocrats literally can't string two coherent sentences together without sounding like sarlacs with wings.

How in the world was I supposed to take that at face value.

The "remake" is actually a reinterpretation of sorts of the original, and will - supposedly - be a somewhat different game. The same place and characters, but a different story. If it ever releases, that is.
Even if that were not the case, Pathologic is always worth playing, if you approach it with the right mindset.
And in case you don't know, the version you want to play is the "Pathologic Classic HD".
