Just skip the combat and watch the dialogue. Sure it's not Crime and Punishment but it's not as simple as it seems. As in, you think the soldiers had just fled or hid from ghouls and figure out theres villagers hiding a secret.

For a very minor sidestory thats not bad. For videogames in general it's told and unveiled pretty well.

The dialogue content has nothing to do with my problem. It's that every single thing is solved by holding a button and clicking the red things. This usually gives you the actual story that happened so any mystery of the problem is dissolved instantly. Geralt narrates the exact scenario without you even having to do anything other than click the red glowing stuff. I also recall when several items were used in a quest, if you use the wrong one he just says "Oh this isn't right" until you find the right one. No adverse effects or alternate events happened, you just do all the things until it completes and you get your orens.

Yeah I agree the game is too easy and streamlined. Games with a lot of audio dialogue and cutscenes get annoying if you have to keep repeating these things tho. It's tough to make it flow well.

I'll admit i was slightly wrong in hindsight, there's one that involves a riddle and if you don't repeat it properly it spawns wraiths until you get it right. But this kind of thing is monotonous, you'll remember the method next time so the wraiths just become a non issue or an irritating problem at best, just chuck down yrden and spam fast attack. I did enjoy some fights where i had to plan my approach, where i even had to double check the bestiary, but i was never in serious trouble. I've actually died to random bandit hits than threatening monsters.

They can be killed by non-vampires, it just takes a fucking astronomically effort to do so, you'll have to literally obliterate every molecule of the body, blood included. Only a mage like Alzure could possibly do such a feat, that I know of. Plus having a help of a genie is a plus. All in all it's sort of impossible for a witcher to deal with a higher vampire without the help of such a being, on top of them being very dangerous it's why so few take contracts about em, they are sort of up on the golden rule of "Don't take contracts out on dragons tier."

Blood & Wine was such a good ending for Geralt. I remember beating it and feeling sad that the story was over.

Well, unless CDPR decides to have another main character for a sequel game, I don't really see Geralt being the MC of another Witcher game, but I feel like that wouldn't work.

Geralt has never known what it's like to not be a witcher, he was raised for it, trained ruthlessly, and he's very good at it. Maybe he'll keep at it for a while, at least until Corvo Bianco's vineyards are producing again, and he can start making a killing off of wine while he takes a well-earned break with Yen.

I'm sure he'd never fully give it up, as long as his body allowed it, and then some. He'd take contracts here and there, probably only to keep himself in form, or if someone came to him and was desperate.

Orianna is a Bruxa, and the trailer is sort of neat in that it's an epilogue that you see before you even play the content. I'm a little sad you couldn't take a contract for her in-game, but at least Geralt kept his promise to come after her eventually.

Actually, it's not entirely clear how much time had passed between the ending of Blood & Wine and Geralt hunting her down for the contract. If you look at their dialogue, Geralt mentions that it'd been a long time since he'd heard that old song that Orianna sings, so it could have been a few years or more.

Honestly, Toussaint is the best place for him to live at this point, aside from maybe Skellige. Even if people are still a bit weary of him naturally, but everyone is generally pretty friendly there. Probably has to do with everyone being constantly drunk off wine. Also he's sort of a local hero after he deals with Detlaff.

Shame about Regis, though, that's the only downside to that ending; he can't visit for tea.

Stop making excuses for CDPR. It's obvious he is supposed to be a higher vampire, he even tells you he is one, and instead of making a new model just for one single enemy they used the Katakan model.
