Series you wish were not dead

I'm glad that series is dead.

It may have been wordswordswords: the game but it felt like a fucking massive adventure on my GBA when I was 11. It and the sequel are huge games.

I played Dark Dawn when it came out and I remember liking it as well, then I found out it was critically panned and everyone hated it. I can't really remember why.

The Shining series itself is still very large though, outside of Shining Force. Shame that they lost the distinction between the subseries, e.g. Shining Force, Shining Tears, etc.

Still uses the Shining Force IP and some characters though.

The only point of no return in the first games was when you switched to LA. If you didn't save transfer you couldn't get all the djinn. Other than that if you missed any you just needed to wait until late game to get back to them.
