I like all of the Mario villains. They're more than a new design and a boss fight, they're a whole new adventure. In Wart's case, he gave us the strange band of 8-bits and an opportunity to explore Subcon.

Hopefully both he and Wart make a appearence as bosses in the upcoming Mario game. Since they're giving a minor-but-comparitively-major role to Pauline, and the implication of a boss fight against the DK, hopefully the same can be done with those guys, and make it a proper odyssey across the stuff that Mario encountered in the past.
