I enjoyed Halo 5 multiplayer. The recent confirmation that it'll be patched to run at 4k has convinced me to pick up an Xbox One X.

Actually halo LAN parties were amazing. Much better than PC games at the time. I would know since that's all I played back then.

They took good and unique audio design and threw it aside for a pool of generic science fiction sound effects. You can use the best equipment and record in the highest fidelity possible, but it will still fall flat on its face if there is no soul. Just about everything they did made Halo feel more generic.

I'll give them that much. 343 did a few things right (They even added the Reach grenade launcher to Halo 5, making Buck play a large role in 5), but not enough and in the right places to make their current games as good as they could be. 343 Halo mostly feels like generic fan fiction, and not the Halo so many people grew to like with CE, 2, and 3.

Halo isn't really great, but deffinitely better than any singleplayer shooter that came for PC around the time Halo 2 got big.
