I'm going to need to build a PC for a work soon and the prices are seemingly a bit up there to what I expected. I don't know if I'm just going to wrong places though.
I want to put together a robust machine that wont slow down when I'm using things like Autocad, Revit and the like. The machines I'm using in college atm seem decent enough but where put together about 8 years so do have some slow down at times that drive me nuts.
If I wanted to put together a competent machine mostly for those sorts of programs and some minor vidya what do think I'd be expected pay in yoyos these days?

Take a physical copy for Xbox and put it in the Xbox One X.
Then do the same for PC.
Both will require an installation though PC will certainly be faster but that's nothing.

Now how do they look side by side? How would any game look when compared on PC? How much better will it look on PC 5, 10, 20 years from now? Now how much better will any of it be with PC's ever growing mod community?

Look into getting a used optiplex (like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-7010-MT-Intel-Core-i5-3470-3-2GHz-8GB-500GB-HDD-Win7-Desktop-PC-/201968124481?hash=item2f063d0241:g:S-UAAOSwvjdZU71L) and upgrade the RAM, GPU. Hard drive upgrade is up to you but I would recommend getting at least 1 or 2 terabytes as games are fucking heavy nowadays. used 1050 + an 8 GiB stick of RAM and you'll probably be all set.
