Prediction: The new dungeon is in the "hole" in the Gerudo Highlands.

Pic related, it's the first look at the entire map of Hyrule we got back in 2014.
You can match up the major landmarks and see that the overworld didn't change much since then, with the exception of the big black spot in the Gerudo Highlands which is absent in the final version.
It probably was a literal hole in the world that wasn't finished in time so they pushed completing it back to the DLC
