Mickey Mouse is so bland that no real character can develop out of him and most cartoons he's in he's an asshole anyway.
Seldom can be said about Mario.
Kirby is like Winnie the Pooh.
He actually has enough sassy and lives in such an imaginative world that you can't really be upset with them for too long. You might have encountered kirby/Winne at a young age so the imprints are going to last for a long long time and still be enjoyable.

But I don't care I grew out of Kirby a long time ago.
