Probably the best way to approach group pulls, if the tank is sprinting like they should the Noct Shield would probably hold until the tank reaches where they plan to stop, meaning you don't have to make things difficult for them with regens along the way possibly grabbing aggro at an inopportune time.

I've only got WHM to 70 for healers so far so I ain't exactly well versed on the intricacies of Astrologian stuff. I've been testing XP speeds with BRD and PLD.
I found that having a decently sized Ruby Sea FATE party is faster XP than dungeon grinding. So fast that I was alternating between the jobs.

The zone isn't cut in half and is easy to navigate. Will probably do the same in the steppes once I get 66 on those 2 alts.

In 8-man fights it works better as a tankbuster shield because you tend to build lilies faster. In dungeons you have to make them yourself if you want that shield, but pulls are also the only time it might be helpful.

Leveling Monk now after having one class at 70 already. At 66 right now. With rested EXP it only takes about 3 dungeons runs for a level with maybe a FATE here and there to push me over the edge sometimes. Assuming the party isn't shit and we're killing things fast, a dungeon takes anywhere from 15-20 minutes. DPS queues on my server are only about 12 minutes on average too.

I could see a Tank or Healer feasibly going from 61-70 in around 8 hours or so if they just spammed dungeons non stop.

Jumps aren't controllable as say GW2 they're absolute. If you jump forward you'll always go the same distance as your speed allows. Walking backwards is slower and also makes your jump shorter.

Aim for the tip of the board as opposed to the shaft for distance. If you only need a short jump aim towards the shaft or jump backwards.

You don't have to sprint jump anything. If anything it'll overshoot you.

imo PLD because of all the tools at their disposal, specially their mitigation (for them and others). The rotation is smooth and satisfying and they're very self-suficient with their heals, mitigation and solid DPS.

As much as I like monk, we aren't even present in the story.

Lyse is a PGL, and the monk order is more or less nowhere in the Ala Mhigo story. Widgarelt should have been involved in the MSQ similar to how Estinien was in SB.

Meanwhile on the Doma side of things you have 2 samurai characters and plenty representation, despite their country being just as beat up as Ala Mhigo is.
