Community servers dying is basically the reason I stopped playing TF2. Instead of having the chance of playing great custom maps that never get to shine such as some of the Swamp, Construction or Jungle maps, I have to keep playing bullshit like 2fort. A custom server should be the excuse to play good custom maps. We live in an age where people can download maps from the server in seconds unlike in 2007. Stop putting stock maps on the god damn server.

The only thing worse than stock maps are Minecraft, Orange or Pokemon themed maps or ones with gimmicky themes. Ree.

I think we should keep the classic maps like Cyberpunk and Harbl Hotel and Wacky Races, because they were the main things people came to play.

But stock maps have to go. Stock maps are haram. A few retards vote for pl_hoodoo and the server just fucking empties immediately.

Also another thing worth noting is that many of the custom maps don't work correctly with autorespawn. One example being Helm's Deep, which is balanced for a 3-5 second respawn delay on the RED team. With autorespawn on, they never lose.

This will happen to other asymmetrical custom maps if they are added, so if the admins could figure out how to turn off autorespawn during custom maps, that would be great.

Let's solve the casual map issue once and for all.

Nobody is forcing you to play it, and it's not like "normies" are going to join because its password protected. If people don't like it and it sucks so bad, you have nothing worry about because it'll get RTV'd, right? :7)

After some discussion we decided that for now the server will have 50/50 competitive custom maps (Like HAARP) and the other half will be free-for-all or event maps (harbl_hotel for example.)

In regards of plugins, saysounds are a must and will be added as soon as we can. We don't have many plugins for now, the most relevant one is our !rtv and !nominate votemap system. We are open to suggestions.
