You're going to get more bang for your buck out of KH. All of the games are longer than the Crash games and have a lot of extra content if collecting shit to get better items is your thing.

If you're looking for a good platformer though rather than a hack n slash you're better off getting Crash,

I heard the PS4 versions of KH had some serious bugs but I can't confirm, anyone got any input to this?

Mainly was KH2 but they fixed most of them with the latest patch http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2017/06/23/kingdom-hearts-ii-ps4-issues-fixed-in-patch/

Pretty much the only issue that still matters is KH1's audio. The sound effects randomly drop and the music in one cutscene doesn't play.
