The graphic style is great and it's one of the best use of the job system ever, probably the best one. Fights and pacing are great and the story while being very political is regarded as one of the good ones. Always leave a separate save file before going INTO a castle! You'll be locked there with a couple of consecutive fights when you enter.

Is the PSP one with patch the best way to play nowadays?

Android doesn't have cloud saving and the graphics run at 2X Speed on everything besides magic animation.
