The scheduling, life-sim, and pacing is all fucked to hell. Massive stretches of cutscenes and "go to bed" bookending gameplay portions with no surprises. The social links are almost all abysmal. The stories are contrived, the characters feel too much like waifubait, and nothing actually happens in most of them, you just brainwash somebody and solve their problems via magic. Mementos are also the worst dungeons the series has ever had.

P5 is really cool. I like the whole bandit on the run idea but the thing i loved about p4 was seeing the characters evolve and then gaining them as part of your team. In p5 it just kinda seems like oh that teacher is an asshole. Lets go into his castle. Its probably really good and im just a chie shill.

It's mostly story and characters. I can't get invested in P4 or 5 in the same way as 3. In 3, the party characters had arcs that were a part of the story and there were moments you got to see without the player character. 4 and 5 focus too much on the blank slate.

FFXV is one of the worst open world RPGs period. It's dragon age inquisition levels of bad. The story is a jumbled mess, the combat is worse than ever elder scrolls combat, the dungeons are pathetic no matter what game you compare them too, the car is one of the worst additions to any fucking video game ever, the soundtrack is forgettable outside of a few selected songs, the whole chapter with the ring is fucking ungodly, there's far too few memorable setpieces that drown between boring and tedious parts of the game, the characters have most of their character developement outside of the game and the final boss is a joke. I dont get all the hype for this game. It was okay at best. The social links were mostly boring as fuck, the dungeons of the second half all sucked (actually all dungeons felt way too stretched), the characters were all utter shit and the battles are all "fishing for weaknesses to press the win button aka all out attack". Also the twist at the end was retarded as fuck.

Im almost certain the game would have get way worse ratings if it werent so overstylized as fuck.

P4G is significantly worse in this regard. 14 S.Links take place exclusively in the day time (14 and a half if you count Jester), and you're locked out of four of them for half the Summer. There are only four evening S.Links, and Nanako and Dojima aretime parasites with janky schedules. Even if you don't abuse Fortune in P5, time management is still much more forgiving than P4, and using Fortune, you can easily max all links on the first playthrough, even if you didn't intend to.

And let's not even get started about how bullshit micromanaging P3FES/P was.

Not even OP, but people on /v/ are just way too fucking stupid to understand that disappointment doesn't mean game is dogshit.

Expecting a 9-10/10 game and getting a 6-7/10 one in return IS a disappointment.

Both Nier:Automata and Zelda were that in my eyes. P5, I don't know, I think is the best Persona game, but then again writing was pure fucking garbage and it was trash from Goro's "redemption" up until it ended, so I'm conflicted.

Only game that reached my expectations was Yakuza 0.
