are you fucking stupid or what? That's literally exactly what you're supposed to do. Half the level was specifically designed so you didn't need to solve the riddle and could get the answer somewhere else. The cheese option is actually solving the riddle (or looking up the solution online) instead of playing the level to get the solution

I solved the riddle, it took me 15 minutes, but it was worth it. Also I feel like Emily would be able to easily solve the riddle, so it felt more true to her character.

Iirc it was a randomized logic puzzle so you had to consult an annoying chart to nail down the solution.
