You can tell when a PS2 game was released by looking at it's spine. The code is "SCES5" followed by it's corosponidong number of release for the PS2. So for example, Tekken Tag Tournament was THE first game developed and released for the PS2. It's code is "0001" to indicate it was THE first game. Betcha disn't know thst you fuckers he?
