Runs at 60 fps with almost everything maxed out with a 1060.

Now that being said, WHY THE FUCK do you get penalized for killing anyone that isn't your target, and the game makes you know by flashing big red letters.

Fuck that shit, fucking modern games always penalizing you for having fun.

That doesnt answer my question. Besides its two dollars man cmon

The whole point of the game is to get in and get out without making a noise, dumdum. You're still allowed to shoot people
>>383030386
It's alright I guess. I didn't really get into it much
>>
>>383030386

well then go buy if it's "just two dollars".
>>
>>383029653
Well for one thing, it failed.

That sounds like me taking the piss, but I'm honestly happy that this Episodic shit did poorly, and maybe Squeenix will think twice about making FF7R Episodic too.
>>
>>383030367
Once you've gotten SA rating on a level, who gives a shit? You don't get any other rewards for getting more points or anything, it's hardly penalisation.
>>
>>383029990
I guess if you're trying to 100% it or something. Just playing the game blind I completed every episode in under 4 hours, and I had never even played a Hitman game before.
>>
>>383029653
They released the content at a reasonable pace. Still not going to play it until it's $20. I always enjoyed these games except absolution. But I suck at stealth games for the most part so every level turns into a bloodbath.
>>
>>383029990
Damn you must fucking suck.
Commit Sudoku.
>>
>>383030625
Squeenix doesn't own Io Interactive nor Hitman anymore thankfully
>>
>>383030671
Yeah but the meat of the game comes from replaying each level to explore. You can't just walk up to the target, pop them in the face and run away and say you're done with the game
>>
>>383030671
>I had never even played a Hitman game before.
That kinda goes without saying anon. All Hitman games are notoriously short if played straight up like that. It's the replayability that fans love so much.
>>
>>383029653
They remembered what it was that made the franchise stand out in the first place.
That said it is plagued by clearly being lower budget with some buggy mechanics, and having less features than BM and Absolution like no suitcase sniper rifle, blood pools being noticed, human shields etc.
>>
>>383030625

>>
>>383030671
I can get Paris done in like 3 minutes. If I just did all the story missions with no experimentation it would be less than an hour.

But that's not what Hitman is about is it? That's never what it's been about. It's about experimentation and fooling around.

>>
>>383030367
viper you stupid as hell
>>
>>383030671
>I've never played a Hitman game
It shows.

These games are about replaying the missions over and over again while trying different tactics.mIf you haven't AT LEAST got the Silent Assassin rating for every mission, you haven't really beaten the game.
>>
The acclaim of HITMAN (TM) is what I think of as the Vista Effect. When Windows Vista was released, many people hated it. So Microsoft made minor changes to Vista and released it again. The former haters were converted.

The same has happened between Absolution and HITMAN (TM). Anyone can easily see that it's mechanically very similar to Absolution, yet those who panned Absolution for its departure from Hitman's brilliance are praising HITMAN (TM) as a "return to form" and "being better than all the first games".

The game is also too bloody easy, and the shitty feeling guns have ruined massacre playthroughs.

Nigger, guns in nuHitman look and sound like plastic toys. They are also fucking useless. The only weapons you ever going to use are silverballer and occasionally krugermeier.

>The only weapons you ever going to use are silverballer and occasionally krugermeier.

>>383033853
>Harder than beloved Blood Money.
You don't even make grunts suspicious. How can that be harder?

>Isn't any worse than in other Hitman games.
Don't be stupid, everything except shotguns are shit sounding pea shooters and people barely respond to being shot by them, whereas even the rudimentary Silverballers were mighty from 2 to Blood Money and would send corpses flying. And for some reason they introduced the typical disruptive hipfire mechanic so common in games today, where you can't hit anything without holding the magic button. For what purpose?

And really, QTE hand-to-hand. For what purpose?
>>
>>383034436
I pity the clueless casual retard who has not played prior Hitman games and hid a light machinegun in the Petronas Towers.
>>
>>383034556
You can go on rampages in TM too. Doesn't mean you'll ever shoot a gun during a normal playthrough.
>>
>>383033638
The gameplay mechanics by themselves don't make the game. The level design does.
Absolution had good controls, nice graphics, but was linear as hell, had stupid intuition system and pointless disguises. It was shit Hitman.
No one denies the fact that they took the core gameplay of Absolution, but improved it and made it into a proper Hitman game.
>>383034342
>They are also fucking useless. The only weapons you ever going to use are silverballer and occasionally krugermeier.
So like in other Hitman games?
>>383034451
>You don't even make grunts suspicious. How can that be harder?
Did you even play Blood Money nigger? Not only they're completely unsuspicious, but also won't do shit if you're trespassing. TM has some "suspicious" guards that can see through your cover. BM didn't at all.
>>
>>383034802
>The gameplay mechanics by themselves don't make the game.
I agree, Hitman would be much the same as a Breakout clone.

>Did you even play Blood Money nigger? Not only they're completely unsuspicious, but also won't do shit if you're trespassing.
We must have played a different Blood Money.
>>
>>383034436
In previous games use were given the incentive to use any weapon you want to go on murderous rampage if you wanted. There were no particular "this is how hitman is supposed to be played" way. In nuHitman "Non target killed" feels almost as insulting as "game over". You MUST follow bullshit rules to get silent assassin, otherwise you are doing it wrong.
>>
>>383034935
>We must have played a different Blood Money.
It's a known fact that BM is too easy, yet it didn't stop fans from falling in love with the game.

>Game is 3 hours long

>>
>>383034935
Trespassing does not count as a crime in BM. You can run through a restricted area with guards shooting at you and still get SA.

2016 fixed that problem, and added enforcers and didn't hardcode guard priorities to make things more difficult.
>>
>>383035195
I don't care about ranking.

>>383034935
Suspicion is almost non-existant in BM outside of very isolated cases, suspicion meter by itself doesn't mean shit unless you get your cover blown (and you cannot get your cover blown while wearing a suit), trespassing doesn't count as an illegal activity, there are infinite coins, you can literally (((accidentally))) every single NPC on the level and still get SA. Blood Money is a very easy game.

>>383035109

>>
>>383036827
it is just that my couch rig needs a low profile and single slot card
so the maximum i can get is a 1030
the 1050 low profiles still take up two slots
never though about that registry fix
thank you, man
>>
>>383036827
(cont) i need to add to that 720p thing, and i digress
with the new trend of adaptive resolutions, you get amazing results
Rise of the Tomb Raider works amazingly well on my toaster, looking pretty good
ie: if I set it to the lowest resolution possible, it still renders the center of the image using crisp detail
i blame/thank the current gen of consoles
>>
>>383029857
I agree with the last two but the first one is retarded. Hitman games can be really short if you just rush it with no fun allowed. Hitman players are known for having serious autism, they get a massive erection when their looney tunes style trap works after analyzing the level for ages and memorizing enemy patrol routes.
>>
>>383036676
I did 200 in under 25minutes, i would have hit over 1000 in your time easy
>>
>>383034935
>We must have played a different Blood Money.
Indeed, we must have. Blood Money is the best Hitman game, but it's also the easiest by far. Disguises were never as fool-proof as they were in that game.

>>
>>383040179
>6 story missions
>3 hours / 6 = 30 minutes
If you need more than half an hour to complete a single mission I'm seriously questioning your intelligence.
>>
I love how entire NPC routes can change depending on what you've done or who you've killed.

If you kill Olander (head of the embassy) and his body is found for example, the Consulate goes on lockdown and guards start searching all the rooms. If Strandberg's body is found, the receptionist will leave to talk to Olander, meaning you can kill her covertly.

I want to see more of this in future episodes.

He came to me complaining that he had to find secrets in some newer mega man game and that it's bullshit that they never told him about health upgrades and he would never have known if he didn't look it up because he has a small health pool for the boss.
I told him to shut up and put some effort in, replay the game and work on getting better if he wants to be good. And lastly try to have some fucking fun with your hobby you moron, why do you kids these days HATE games that require you play them a little more, actually use your brain a little and grow some sort of skillset?
>>

You've played so little you think it's designed as a linear game with a few challenges. Try playing it some more and you'll realise what you're saying is objectively stupid.

(If you don't realise the obvious after that, you should kill yourself to be on the safe side. Peace.)

What's so bad about Absolution? And if it's a bad Hitman game, is it at least a good non-Hitman game? I got it in a bundle and I've been meaning to try it. I never got into any Hitman games so maybe I can just enjoy it like a regular stealth game.
>>
>>383051619
It's not as much of a sandbox as other Hitman games, in fact it's pretty linear. It's a good game, though.
>>
>>383051619
It's alright. Plays like a Splinter Cell. Sure is pretty, I'll give it that. Very cinematic.
>>
>>383051619
If you try to play it like a Hitman game, it's rancid shit.

If you play it like a shooter, it's pretty decent.
>>
>>383051619
Decent game, poor Hitman. The Hitman-style levels can be good, but there are too many ~cinematic~ little levels of moving from A to B in a poor story that didn't really fit the series usual style.
>>
>>383029653
I was so impressed with this game after playing the Escalation missions in the "demo" that I bought the HD trilogy and Absolution. I have now platinumed Hitman 2 and Contracts and started Blood Money today. I fucked around in Absolution a bit because it plays the most similar to Nu Hitman but I do not hate it like everybody else.

Anyway Hitman is fucking based.
