i played the wii u a lot and i was surprised i never saw anything outright racist or bad. At most it was just depressed kids talking about their parents fighting/cheating on eachother. Usually just shitty memes.

It probably could, they just didn't for some shitty reason. Same reason they took out the browser i guess, they wanted to be completely games focused. It's a shame because the switch is so much smoother and faster than the clunky Wii U. Switching btwn miiverse and games would be seamless.

They most likely removed it because they want people to talk about their games using common social media, as opposed to their own little insular platform that no one except people who are already customers use.
