I don't know, but the whole thing made me uncomfortable. I had to get out Optimus Prime and stare at my Sailor Moon poster to ensure I stayed straight through the whole thing.

I actually went along with the plan long enough to get Verulus to lead me to them then killed them all (except Verulus, obviously), none of them left the cave so I got no bounty, just be sure to get Vigilance if you were planning to before you do this
