Regenerators got me genuinely spooped
I rarely get scared by vidya but having to deal with painfully slowly opening a door while this cunt is regenerating definitely made my heart beat faster.

It's their jerky movement. Our brains are hard-wired to NOPE at that, because we can't predict what to expect rationally.
>Checking out environments in SteamVR
>Download one called Beach at Sunset
>It's pretty huge. See a barrel and chair in the distance.
>On it is a working flashlight you can pick up and aim.
>Ahead is a clearing into the pitch dark forest.
>NOPE

>Going to be playing this in VR when Sony exclusivity crap runs out.
I may die.
Why are there so many Miller threads recently?

That part pissed me off because it made realize we will never get Kojima going full horror like we are supposed to with Silent Hills.

Death Stranding most likely will have some of those.
Now that I think about it, we still haven't seen gameplay footage.
this scared the shit out of me

They were very obvious to spot coming, but still got me.

fuck off caramel

It's bullshit how you need the special scope to kill them. If I unload a TMP into his torso and all 50 bullets impact, you're telling me none of those penetrated the skin or touched the parasites? At least they're slow as fuck to compensate.

The ladder is effective due to how it is set up. The part at the bottom of the stairs is the real scare. First one is just to get your pulse pounding, so you slide the the ladder ASAP to get away from her. Experience and instinct tells you moving away from the source should be enough to keep you safe, then right when your brain tells you it should be ok now, you hit the bottom of the ladder and get the second scare.
I don't really like jump scares, but can't help but love how that one was set-up. It's so simple too, making use of the auto turn you do as part of the ladder dismount animation.
The atmosphere in this environment unsettles me, and having a mutant jump at you from behind doesn't help.

Its a spooky game thread that just happened to include a spooky moment involving Miller.
