I think it's a factor of a couple things...

First and foremost he feels compelled to be an angry, screamy cartoon character these days. I don't know why, how or when he reached this decision. He feels compelled to do stupid voices, feign rage and overact. He's probably the biggest unfunny tryhard I've ever witnessed.
