I was afraid of the ridiculous scenario where Marvel isn't at EVO for its last year in favor of Pokken even though a new installment is coming out the same year and Marvel ahs never skipped an EVO.

Can you switch out your pokemon in middle of battle? If not, it's a fucking pointless mode and shouldn't be there in the first place

As somebody who actually plays pokken and goes to his locals and to majors: TCPI is notoriously shit at hosting competitive events, they have wierrd rules such as not allowing certain player names, not running brackets right, and not allowing chat.

And you know who watches pokemon worlds? Pokemon fans. General pokemon fans don't give a rats ass about pokken, and they really aren't what pokken needs in terms of new players. Pokken needs more FGC people, the ones that will actually go out to locals and majors and compete. And none of them will watch worlds.
