get the cheapest ssd you can and just put your OS on it

You might think 120 is enough but you'll change your mind pretty fast if you get it. Go 250, preferably even more but 250 is something that won't make you hurt yourself.

Can I install my os on the ssd and the programms and games on the hdd or can you only install programms/ games on the drive where your os is?

i have a 250gb ssd and even when some fuckhuge games have really long loading times i can rarely get myself to save it to the ssd for my own benefit practically all my games are on my external drive, i dont know how i only have 60gb left on the 250gb ssd

This, SSD's for gaming are a waste of money, you maybe save 1 or 2 seconds on loading. Take the money you'd spend one some beastly 1-4TB PCIe SSD and just get the best RAM you can.

Basically every program you could want has an installation process where you choose where the actual program is installed to. And it's as simple as choosing a folder in your HDD.

I've got a 250gb ssd for the os and programs, a 1tb drive for games, and another 1tb drive for porn and music. works for me. The drives are WD Blacks so they have reasonable load times.
