What would your ideal video game store be like?
Online with frequent deals.
One of those classic rare games stores that also has a couple arcade cabinets for sale, functioning light guns, and a decent disk repair.
I'd still come in for PC games and pawned collectors edition mouse pads.

One where they don't jack up the prices. Which is none of them.

this
>>382903236
Ones where the employees actually know about video games.
>>382903236
Good selection, no bullshit.
like the wand shop from harry potter
>>382903236
deodorant is sprayed on each person who enters the store
>>382903236
Some sort of loyalty program that doesn't completely revolve about a jewish practice that shouldn't even be legal in the first place.
Dealing in games of all time periods. Modern games are just a section like any other games

>Go online to get rebates
Games of every period
A place where it's none of the nonsense and other bullshit, just walk in, grab the game, and pay for it.
No anime bullshit. I'm buying video games, not anime figurines of fucking naruto or whatever garbage it is.
Employees have even the slightest idea what they're talking about.
>go to FUCKING GAMESTOP
>pick up bravely default since it looks neat
>employee says it's like fire emblem
Thank fuck I ended up liking it anyways, but I genuinely thought it was going to be like fire emblem.

>Not wanting video game toys in a video game store
I don't understand
>>382905983
I'm fine with video game toys, like amiibo and various merch. But, if you had read the post, I said no anime bullshit.
I want video game shit. Not naruto or whatever garbage it is.
Last time I went in game stop, they had a statue of Joker from Suicide Squad.
it's not fucking video games
Store that specializes in retro games. The only start is cute girls who have in depth knowledge and enjoyment of the games they carry. They are also all single and interested in me. Also, they would want to play pic related with me.
>>382906161
Where do you draw the line though? What about toys from Injustice or Xenoverse?
>>382906175
Is Sword of Mana even two player?
>>382906251
If they're based on and specifically from the game, it's ok. But anything more is just like, come the fuck on. You're called Gamestop, I expect games, not anime and cartoons.
>>382905564
This
>Roughly equal selection of both old and modern games, and used and new games
>Some video game merch like t-shirts or whatever, but not taking up half the wallspace
>>382906941
That's Legend of Mana. But Sword of Mana isn't.Wanna play, Anon?
>>382905834
It's like fire emblem in that it's a game that has RPG elements and it's on the 3ds
He's not wrong if you look at it like this
>>382903328
fpbp
>>382907314
I swear to god if he actually thought like this I'm going to be upset
I love my local game store, but that's mostly because they have a nice arcade, and have a good amount of imports including bullshit merch to waste my money on. The game prices range from expensive to not bad depending on what you are buying, but it makes sense to help cover cost of running an arcade with it.
Sells everything, isn't overpriced as fuck
Something with heavy emphasis on retro and import games. From the NES up to modern day.
Or at least a good selection of Saturn games.
