There's plenty of CRPGs or other niche style RPGs to go around at the moment and there's more coming, and AAA Pubs have control over the action-open world bloated behemoths like TES or Dragon Age or Final Fantasy.

I doubt we'll ever see western middle-range style RPGs on consoles again.
