SLI means that devs (including Nintendo) have to spend extra time optimizing their games for it. Which leads to game release delays (people already complain that games take too long to release).

Nintendo doesn't give two shits about hardware power, they only make hardware so people are forced to buy it to play Nintendo licensed games. If suddenly Nintendo started charging an extra $100 to play the new Xenoblade or Pokémon properly like how Sega started charging $200 to genesis owners to play Sonic CD then people would be rioting.

Because it's just USB Type-C, not Thunderbolt. Yes, they share the same connector just like old Thunderbolt and Mini DisplayPort, but they aren't the same. Also, Intel would never allow it.
