It's a pretty big field near hyrule castle with nothing but guardians in it. There are more dense areas elsewhere.

that's just one tiny field amongst the entire world of Hyrule.

The game is actually jam-packed full of content, but you're not constantly running to people and buildings and shit. There's also multiple different environment types, with their own dynamic weather climates, flora and fauna libraries, etc.

If you want to see marketers, go to any Bethesda -related thread. BotW is just amazing game that makes almost everything else released in the past decade seem lazy, restricted, and unimaginative.
