What are some games with great movement?
A game where, ignoring the other aspects, the world is a joy to move around in. Bonus points if you can go fast.
I'll start with Super Mario 64

Okami
Are there any emulators with xinput so I can actually experience good movement in Mario 64? Having to map only the four compass directions makes for garbage movement.

HarryPotter 2 on PC
>>382882116
All relevant N64 emulators support that.
I'll just list some more off the top of my head:
Quake
TF2
I heard Spider-man 2 was great at web swinging but not much else
Titanfall 2 looks pretty fast
I'd like to mention Dead Cells as well, it has a shield that lets you shield charge which makes you go quite quickly compared to normal, and combining that with dodge rolls and diving attacks makes it fun to roam around

I forgot to mention Dustforce as well, it feels good to convert your falling momentum into a huge speed boost using slopes
>>382881985
what's great about it?
p-pls respond
Dust: an elysian tail
Game is a buncha furry nonsence with a plot to match, but the sheer flair of the combat is great. Also it's made by the guy who made jazz jackrabbit 2's cutscenes
Also cave story. The jump floatiness is juuust right and getting the booster 2.0 or jetpack gets me rock hard every single time

hmm, i might pick dust up since it's 80% off on steam
Thanks!
Aquaria's was pretty damn fun once you get various movement power-ups and you just zip around the big ocean areas.
>>382885406
That sounds like exactly what I'm looking for, those movement powerups that helps you move around better
>>382885289
Have fun. The game has plenty of metroidvania elements as well, so chances are you can fuck around with the physics mid-combat to skip into unexplored areas with enough effort

Super Smash Bros. Melee
>>382881916
Melee
>>382886628
I forgot about dishonored, i'll go buy that too
>>382881916
Breath of the Wild
Super Mario Sunshine
>>382887438
Sunshine is great if it weren't for the incosistent slide mechanic that happens on slopes.
>>382887438
That feeling when you climb a hill and find a fucking endless slope for shield surfing!
>>382881916
N++
>>382881916
Ori and the Blind Forest

>>382889283
>tribes

>>382889769
All Tribes games are officially free
DOOM, the first two for running fast and the 2016 game for double jumping
>>382881916
Abusing and emotionally treating her like shit always been fun for me.
>>382889859
praise be
thanks anon
>>382882656
Thank you for bringing up Dustforce. Criminally overlooked game. Took a while to get used to the dash timing and slope boosting stuff, but there is definitely some depth to this.
