I just have a bunch or real lif friends o steam and then people add me if we play well together (Rocket League) or have a nice convo in chat

you were supposed to make them in middle school, high school and college

after that, you basically just only talk to people from your younger days. "adults" have much busier schedules than kids, even though the adults dont study anymore (typically, you know what I mean). Unless you go to specific social groups where you find people your age who want to hang out, you practically can't make them besides getting lucky with a coworker who likes to hang out with coworkers outside work. Some of mine were like "I see you five times a week already for 8 hours a day, we have plenty of time to talk about shit here".
or just only make them online, which is also harder to do when you are older since people like to talk to people their own age

My core group is a comfy forum that branched off from a Halo fan group a decade ago. Now we're all college graduates, some with families, but most of us still play vidya together and when we're e not we shitpost.

This is literally me in school, high school and college. That's why I have 5 or 6 really good friends I can ignore for a year and meet again and hang out like it's no one business. I met all of them outside of school, highschool and college.

I've got a group that plays random shit like starcraft, serious sam, shellshock and tabletop sim. Hard to find people for this kind of stuff but the games are great fun.

I made two good friends playing L4D when it was new, 9 years later we talk, play and watch movies almost everyday. If I didn't have them I'd probably play something like KF2 and add a lot of people until I find someone I get along with.
