I just bought this game after I played the beginning on a pirated copy half a year back. I really dont know what to think of this game. For every horrible fucking newbie annoying mistake it has a fucking genius tier aspect to it.

I hope they hire somebody fucking competent and make sequel.

I wish I still had the chatlogs of a friend who got 250 Hours in DA after a month or two.
He's the kind of autist who makes spreadsheets about optimal stat distribution in MMO's and how it affects skill rotations on a per fight basis.

I was just talking some casual shit about how I missed like 60% of the sidequests on my first playthrough and how hard Damien is and he went off telling me about how broken this game in terms of perks and accessories and how you can basically go through the entire game alone, below level 20 with just stacking damage and defense buffs.

I'm not making fun of him, I wish I was smart or dedicated enough to my hobby to figure this kind of shit out, I just wanna know if he was right?

Pawns actually help with quest, locastions and monsters knowledge. Its obvious the actual player pawns are best at that. Not to mention them having good skills/stats.

It needs to be noted that there is quite a big deal of satisfaction in using your friends pawns. Its also a nice feel to get a small gift and a nice message from actual people about how your pawn helped them.

No, i got into it for a few hours, made some pawns, gave them little backstories and then realised there was no reason to because a zillion people did the same thing, and any neat armour or weapons weren't going on them, because all I did was stuff them in a hole and not have them around.

Maybe i'm a dunce, but I made like 3 or 4. And I saw no value in them. I could let them get hired for others, or use them myself. If I let them get hired, I made a character for fuck all reason, and if I use them myself, it's just a way to make a boring, no-interest party member who isn't invested in the main story.

Combat

For me, The game is good because the Beast fights are amazing. Because the DLC dungeon is amazing. Because the combat flow is amazing and the classes are all amazing and broken in a way.
Not because of the pawns. they are a nice plus. But I think it's more fun to solo the DLC dungeon anyway.

The problem with the combat is that there isn't fucking enough of it. There are like 5 enemies and a handful of bosses that are worth fighting.

The downside to the combat is that it's fucking wasted.

Today has been a good day. I must say, I'm fucking hooked on this game now, despite some flaws it's been a lot of fun. I switched from ranger to sword and shield fighter and I fucking love it. Both the zoom stab move that knocks niggers down and the spin move that knocks niggers sky high are so damn good.

I fucking hate this place

Does anyone else feel that the game limits the amount of skills on one weapon set on every vocation too much? Obviously warrior gets the worst deal of the bunch; but there are so many ways to deal with the enemy sets that it's almost disappointing that you can't use your weapons to their maximum potential. The only reason I dislike magick archer is that ricochet hunter is mandatory in BBI if you're on low damage and without ninefold bolt. The explosive arrows are also really fun, but ward arrow is so useful that it's hard to decide which slot to replace with it. Then there are also a lot of situations where vortex arrow could be really useful, as well as the flashbang one for stunning death.

I actually was fucked up by autosave once.
It autosaved while riding an elevator in some dungeon, but upon loading I spawned at the top of the shaft while the platform was at the bottom. So I just slammed down the shaft and died immediately. Then autoloaded back at the top and looped.
