I wanted a figure, bought it but 10 minutes after getting the package the novelty wore off.

There's no point in collecting them, they don't do anything, they just sit there and collect dust.

It's literally too tall to fit on any shelf. My plan is to eventually get a detolf for my larger figures, but I'm painfully well aware that not even detolfs prevent dust from entering.

I can always sell them at a profit, or at worst, the same price I paid for them.

Take for example, my Duel of Fates ver Dark Magician figure. I originally preordered him for $65 after tax and shipping. Today he's sold by resellers for $150 or more. While not every figure sees a price hike over time, the general rule with most figures is that hardly _anything_ ever sees a reprint, and Japan products are often sold as limited edition/limited run collector's items (see: gashapon) for people to impulsively buy and collect.

For now, I enjoy collecting plastic figurines and displaying them. Eventually I realize that I'd rather have the cash, but I rest easy knowing that these things sell back to other collectors very easily and often at some level of profit.

It's a good counterpart to Kirby, but if you don't have the Kirby Nendo already, then I'd recommend getting the Kirby first.

Like Kirby, posability is very good, due to magnetized feet and hands. However, unlike Kirby, his feet and hands are larger and the magnetism isn't strong enough to carry the arm + sword + sword slashing effect piece without it sagging and falling off. It does come with a counterbalance 2nd stand for that slash effect, but the sword + hand still tends to sag and such.

Overall, it's a nice Nendo, and Nendos are very fitting for the Kirby franchise, but the Kirby nendo is ultimately cuter and more expressive, despite the lack of sword or wings/cape.
