I JUST finished this game - Truth be told it was like a solid 7/10, the character with the most character in the story was the damned dwarf and you only see him for like 5 cut scenes.

The combat does get monotonous, which is the same issue I had with the batman series. Fortunately the side quests and crap I am a sucker for so that kept me exploring and crap, I just 100%'d it because it wasn't the worst thing in the world and the killing in the game was entertaining for short bursts.

I'm starting to work on dlc now but it's kind of the same ol same ol, you'd only play any of that stuff for the "story" which, mind you, is absolutely not canon.

I just finished the main campaign on Sunday, it's fun in that it's insanely polished but it could be so much more.

>All the characters fell flat except for the Comedic Relief Orc (Ratbag is his name?) and Celebrimbor

The best thing was that the combat was satisfying, better than Assassin's Creed combat or that Mad Max game. I wish they'd look more towards the Yakuza games for inspiration because that series has always done Open World Action-Adventure right by delivering fun characters and more variety.

The same can be said for batman but yet it's not this dumb since enemies can fuck with your counters with knifes

It's honestly pretty shitty. Couldn't even finish it because by that point I was so overpowered nothing was a challenge or even fun. I enjoyed maybe the first hour of the game, where going up against a captain with a pack of bodyguards would actually get you fucked up. Instead of simply teleporting to each one and cutting their heads off. Hopefully with Celebrimbor gone they have a reason to make him a bit weaker in the sequel, but considering all I've seen of it so far is him riding a fucking dragon around I don't think that's going to be the case.

Celebrimbor isn't gone for good but the curse status effect can remove your wraith powers for a period of time and dragon needs to be weakened before you can be shadow mounted.
