Game is fucking awesome. Finally an actual 2D game that plays exactly like Castlevania.

Why would I buy an incomplete game and ruin my expectations and burn out on it, when I could wait for the full game and get a better experience?

The fighting feels so fucking good in this game, I just fucking hate rouge likes so much. I'd give a nut to get this gameplay and art style in a more traditional game

What about roguelikes puts you off? Is it the repetition of environments and lack of general story progression?

I can take it or leave it for story, it's the repetition and lack of progress that just fucking kills it for me. I'd like them more if I kept a little more of my power ups upon death. The first 2 levels of Dead Cells is such a chore as I build back up my attack power and get the weapon I like to use. Then since I had to take time to get to that point I play more conservatively when it's more fun to go balls out
