You need to be patient with kids. Mine started with a bad attitude and so I had to raise her Attitude stat somehow to 200 before it improved. I didn't play anymore after that since I've gotten distracted with another game, but that might fix that issue. Didn't even realize that the different starting professions for the dad actually had that much effect on the daughter's behavior.

I find it more boring than PM2 overall since there's just less to do, but damn if they didn't do a good job with the daughter's personality. She changes a lot depending on stats and reacts to various circumstances differently.

I've played all of them, including 4 and 5. The personality that they gave her and the way she reacts are what really makes this game a lot more interesting than other versions.
PM4 has barely any variation to your daughteru's personality, though you have a lot more options for occupations and a lot more interactions with people outside, making it almost like a crappy anime.
I actually really like this about this game. It feels like your decisions really matter a lot. I almost want to actually try staying in poverty until the end of the game to see what happens... But she just wants to learn and she has her own wishes and it really does hurt her. It's amusing, she's just pixels and scripts but the game really makes you think she has her own will.

Did anyone else here have a spooky emotional response to these games? I played PM2 back in October and tried to turn by girl into a slut for laughs but then I realized that I already had put huge efforts into this playthrough and I didn't want to fuck up my progress, so I decided to turn this shit around and get her to have a happy ending. It worked, but going on a vacation with her during the final months and seeing the ending REALLY got me to emotionally to the point where it made me sob like a 12 year old. This stupid pervy game actually managed to care for this stupid tamagochi with tits to the point where seeing my daughter being happy made me cry tears of joy and relief. Did anyone else experience something similar while playing these games?
