It's kind of impossible to max everyone out on your first playthrough because some confidants require certain stat levels to be really high or maxed out. So while you're busy grinding your stats, you're losing precious days that could have been spent grinding your confidants.

In my second playthrough, all my stats were already maxed, but I still barely made it in time to max all my confidants before the very last dungeon on Christmas Eve. Fucking Iwai, man. He kept turning me down to increase my confidant rank with him whenever I had a night to spare. I couldn't even choose to work at his store. So I ended up going to the shrine and speaking to Chihaya to speed up the process. I managed to max him out on the night of the 23rd. Cut that shit really close.

Yusuke is a literal god the moment you give him an Atlas Anklet and the +5 Str sword from itemizing Ame-no-Uzume. After that, he simply put Ryuji to shame until he gets charge and the Auto-Tarukaja weapon, by which point I've already beaten Shido, so whatfuckingever.

The worst as a whole is Mona or Haru. Makoto is probably the worst though till you get her best equipment.
