For ps1 technology it really captured the feel of the time period they were going for

Yeah I'm not sure how well it'd even translate to current gen. So much of its atmosphere was down to hardware limitations and having a very German Expressionist style that shone through the angular and low poly models. Nowadays they'd do a Sly 4 on it and over-render everything, or just try to make it Souls-esque

They'd ruin the gameplay too, but there's just not a market for darker RPG's without it being a souls clone
I really loved the level design, that whole greenhouse area in 2 with the pumpkin plants was goat

>play for hours
>turn on aliens
>notice the alien junk looks like it's in a pattern

>scared shitless that the aliens wrote something (also general phobia of certain fonts when I was younger, which this triggered)
>don't play Sim Park for months until I finally get brave and just turn off all disasters

My grandparents were confused why I didn't play the game for months though. They thought I would love it since it was like other Sim games. I did enjoy it after turning off disasters, though.
