FFVII is by far the most soothing game I could choose to play. The emotional presence, music and setpieces always keep me coming back.

Pic related is my day-to day comfort. When I was a teenager, my dad knocked one of my teeth out. Sucker punched me! It was horrible. Immediately after, in a daze, all I could focus on was Donkey Kong Country 2. My sisters sat with me, kept giving me gauze and ice. I'm still missing the tooth, about a decade later. DKC2 doesn't remind me of this at all, it just puts me at ease, drives off the anathema.

First was Sertraline. Then I complained about the side effects making me sick and unable to leave the bed all the time.

Yeah, here's my two cents as someone who's suffered from mental illness for nearly a decade, diagnosed schizoaffective. Medications definitely help if you're on the right regimen, but they're not magical drugs that will cure everything, it takes a lot of personal effort to make them work, therapy, CBT, having a proper support group, and leading a good lifestyle. Well, I think the body is just insanely complex, and knowing that my consciousness is the proverbial crown on top makes me feel like I'm important.
